Overview
An online dissolved oxygen sensor is an instrument that continuously measures the concentration of oxygen dissolved in water, enabling aeration control and biological process optimization in wastewater treatment.
The sensor uses the luminescent (fluorescence quenching) principle instead of a traditional membrane electrode. Oxygen molecules quench the luminescence of a fluorescent dye; the analyzer calculates dissolved oxygen concentration from the luminescence decay. The method consumes no oxygen and requires no flow or agitation.
