IDR Integrated Digital ORP Sensor
ORP
Integrated digital ORP sensor for oxidation-reduction potential monitoring — digital Modbus output, plug-and-play with TENGINE controllers.
- Fully digital probe with on-board measurement and storage
- RS485 Modbus RTU networking over long cable runs
- Stable redox measurement for biological and disinfection processes
- IP68 submersible, low-maintenance design
Overview
An ORP sensor measures the oxidation-reduction potential of water, indicating the process conditions in biological treatment zones and the disinfection capacity of chlorinated water.
The IDR Integrated Digital ORP Sensor uses a platinum electrode as the indicating electrode and a saturated calomel electrode as the reference. Together with the water sample, they form a galvanic cell. The oxidation-reduction potential is measured relative to the reference electrode by an electronic millivoltmeter, then converted to an ORP value relative to the Standard Hydrogen Electrode (SHE) for final reporting.
