- Real-time chlorophyll-a without sampling or reagents
- Early warning of algae growth before blooms develop
- Digital RS485 Modbus output for buoy and station integration
- Optional self-cleaning for long unattended deployment
Overview
A chlorophyll sensor measures chlorophyll-a concentration in water — the most direct indicator of algae biomass — enabling eutrophication surveillance and early warning in source water, lakes and reservoirs.
The IDCH Integrated Digital Chlorophyll Sensor detects chlorophyll concentration by capturing the fluorescence emitted by phytoplankton at a fixed angle relative to the excitation light. To ensure greater measurement accuracy, the reference channel detects the original excitation light. Both fluorescence and reference signals are processed to deliver precise chlorophyll concentration data.
