Effluent Compliance Monitoring
Effluent Discharge Supervision at Xianyang West Suburb WWTP
1 / 2Project Background
Effluent discharge supervision at a key river-outfall WWTP.
Customer Challenge
Plant effluent discharges directly into the Wei River. As a key river outfall, it demands extremely high data accuracy, stability and continuity. Conventional supervision lacked real-time data, making dynamic outfall control and anomaly tracing impossible; the region also faces national-section quality assessments, requiring credible, traceable online data.
The TENGINE Solution
A TEM-TN9000 online total-nitrogen analyzer and supporting online monitoring equipment were installed.
Implementation
TEM-TN9000 Online Total Nitrogen Analyzer.
Project Results
The deployment was covered by Xianyang's official media, validating the equipment's reliability. It closed the real-time monitoring gap at the river outfall, strengthened the Wei River basin's quality defenses, and supported the section's recognition as a national 'Beautiful River & Lake' case.
Related Case Studies

Industrial wastewater mixed into the influent caused large quality swings. Denitrification needed flexible control, but manual lab testing lagged — making it impossible to predict total-nitrogen exceedance or guide carbon dosing, creating an effluent-compliance risk.

A door manufacturer needed to monitor its factory discharge outlet to ensure compliance and avoid environmental violations, but lacked continuous monitoring.

The site had no online water-quality monitoring at all — only manual grab sampling — so discharge indicators could not be tracked continuously. Vietnam's new environmental regulations mandate online monitoring installations at pollution sources, and the customer faced administrative penalty risk without compliant, always-on data.
