A nitrate nitrogen analyzer continuously measures the NO₃⁻-N concentration in water. In wastewater treatment it provides the real-time feedback required to control denitrification and optimize carbon source dosing; in effluent monitoring it verifies nitrogen compliance.
The UVN Nitrate Nitrogen Analyzer adopts high-precision ultraviolet (UV) absorption technology. During measurement, the sample fills the optical path; light emitted from the source passes through the water sample, where part of the light is absorbed. The remaining light is detected by a sensor on the opposite side, and the analyzer calculates the nitrate nitrogen concentration based on the absorption characteristics, with compensation for turbidity and organic interference.
