What makes a digital pH sensor different from a conventional electrode?

The IDP digitizes the measurement inside the probe and stores its own calibration data. The RS485 Modbus signal travels several hundred meters without the drift and noise of high-impedance analog cabling, and any TC1000 / TC2000 controller recognizes the sensor automatically.

Can the IDP be immersed directly in the process tank?

Yes. The sensor is IP68 rated for continuous immersion at 0–4 bar, with a 316L stainless steel housing and an industrial-grade dual salt bridge electrode for harsh environments.

A digital pH sensor continuously measures the acidity or alkalinity of water and outputs the result as a digital signal, forming the basis for neutralization control, process regulation and discharge compliance.

The IDP Integrated Digital pH Sensor uses a composite electrode composed of a glass electrode and a reference electrode. The potential of the reference electrode inside the glass electrode remains constant and is independent of the pH of the solution being measured. When the glass bulb is immersed in solutions with varying H⁺ concentrations, the analyzer reads the potential difference between the stable potential of the reference electrode and the potential generated by the glass bulb — this difference determines the pH value.
